Valvestino: A Journey Between Coves and History

Starting from the Gargnano state road, a winding road will lead you to the suggestive artificial lake of Valvestino. With its suggestive inlets, which recall Scandinavian panoramas, and the imposing overhanging rocks, the landscape offers a unique experience far from the traffic of Lake Garda. The culmination of the adventure is the imposing dam that appears on the horizon.

The winding road along the Valvestino is a paradise for motorcyclists, especially in summer, but even during the other months of the year you can easily travel many kilometers without meeting anyone. No matter the means of transport, we recommend stopping at one of the panoramic pitches to fully enjoy this unique scenery.

During the "lean" periods of the artificial lake, you will be able to admire the Austro-Hungarian Customs, a skeleton that tells the crucial history of Valvestino during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the First World War. Today, in dry periods, it resurfaces showing itself in all its historical beauty.

Cima Rest: A magical oasis at 1200 meters above sea level

At the end of the lake, follow a mountain road to reach Cima Rest, a stunning plateau at 1200 meters above sea level. In this environment little known to mass tourism, you will breathe a relaxed atmosphere that transmits serenity and positive energy.

The village of Cima Rest is characterized by its barns with typical thatched roofs, the only example left in Lombardy. With verdant meadows all around and the majestic Mount Tombea as a backdrop, you will have a unique experience.

The barns of Cima Rest, once rural buildings, have now been transformed into accommodation facilities. At the "Al Borgo Cima Rest" restaurant or at the "Malga Corva," you can taste typical local dishes and savor the delicious Tombea cheese, an authentic delicacy of Val Vestino.

Remember to book your place for lunch one day in advance! Upon return, your boat will be ready at the departure dock to take you back to the port of embarkation. An unforgettable excursion awaits you!
